MAGNUS LARSSON [AA THESIS] NYC Corners and Bricks
This project explores the use of Brick in a non conventional programme, the skyscraper. What interested me the most was the use of the material to generate and inform the design process. My first response to the site for the theatre was the bold installation on the site of a brick sculpture carved in the shape of a fist and inscribed with the words "Brick is Beautiful". It made me think of this project by Magnus Larsson a recently graduated student of the AA.
